Terms & Conditions

Effective: January 1, 2025
Governed under Nigerian Law
English

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("the Client") and Eri Travel Consult ("we," "us," or "our"), governing all travel services, bookings, and transactions you engage in with us. By enquiring about, booking, or using any of our services — whether through our website, WhatsApp, email, phone, or in person — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms in their entirety. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

1

Our Services

Eri Travel Consult provides premium travel consultancy and management services including but not limited to leisure travel packages, corporate travel management, group travel coordination, visa and documentation assistance, hotel and flight bookings, and concierge services.

We act as an agent and intermediary between the Client and third-party service providers including airlines, hotels, visa authorities, transport companies, and tour operators. While we carefully select and vet all our partners, we are not the direct provider of transportation, accommodation, or visa services. Our role is to facilitate, coordinate, and manage these services on your behalf.

Our Commitment

We are committed to delivering every service with the highest standard of professionalism, accuracy, and care. Any service failure on the part of our third-party providers will be actively addressed by our team on your behalf.

2

Bookings & Payments

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by the relevant service providers. A booking is not confirmed until you have received written confirmation from Eri Travel Consult and the applicable deposit or full payment has been received.

  • Payment can be made via bank transfer, mobile payment, or other accepted methods as communicated by our team

Cancellations & Refunds

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our clients and our third-party partners, who impose their own cancellation terms upon us. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email or WhatsApp.

Refund Processing

Where refunds are applicable, they will be processed within 14–21 business days following confirmation of the cancellation and any applicable deductions. Refunds are issued to the original payment method where possible.

Cancellation by Eri Travel Consult: In the rare event that we must cancel your booking due to circumstances beyond our control, we will notify you as promptly as possible and offer either a full refund, a suitable alternative arrangement, or a credit for future travel — at your discretion.

4

Changes & Amendments

We understand that travel plans sometimes need to be adjusted. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate changes to your booking. However, all change requests are subject to the policies of the relevant airline, hotel, or service provider, and may incur additional fees.

  • Date changes — Subject to availability and any fare difference applicable at the time of change. An amendment fee may apply
  • Destination changes — Treated as a cancellation and re-booking. Cancellation fees may apply to the original booking
  • Passenger name changes — Most airlines do not permit name changes after ticketing. Any such changes are at the discretion of the airline and may involve significant charges
  • Hotel changes — Subject to availability and the hotel's own amendment policy. Changes within 7 days of check-in are typically treated as cancellations
  • Adding services — Additional services can be added to your booking at any time, subject to availability and current pricing

All change requests must be submitted in writing. Verbal requests will not be accepted. Eri Travel Consult reserves the right to charge a service amendment fee of ₦5,000 – ₦15,000 per change request, depending on complexity, in addition to any third-party charges incurred.

5

Visas & Travel Documentation

Eri Travel Consult offers visa consultation and application support as a professional service. However, it is important for all clients to understand the following:

Visa decisions rest solely with the relevant embassy or immigration authority. Eri Travel Consult cannot guarantee visa approval in any case. Our service is to prepare and submit the strongest possible application on your behalf. We are not liable for visa rejections, delays, or decisions made by any embassy or government authority.

  • The Client is responsible for ensuring their passport has at least 6 months validity beyond the intended travel dates and sufficient blank pages for visa stamps
  • The Client must provide accurate, complete, and truthful documentation. Any misrepresentation is the sole responsibility of the Client and may result in visa rejection, deportation, or legal consequences
  • Visa application fees paid to embassies are non-refundable regardless of the outcome
  • Our visa service fees are non-refundable once the application process has commenced, regardless of the visa outcome
  • Processing times are estimated and not guaranteed. We recommend applying well in advance of your travel date
  • The Client is responsible for complying with all entry requirements, health requirements (including vaccinations), and customs regulations of the destination country
6

Liability & Limitations

As a travel consultancy acting as an agent for third-party service providers, our liability is limited in accordance with the following terms:

  • Eri Travel Consult is not liable for any loss, injury, damage, delay, or additional expense incurred as a result of acts or omissions by airlines, hotels, visa authorities, transport operators, or any other third-party service providers
  • We are not responsible for flight delays, cancellations, overbookings, missed connections, or any disruption caused by airlines or airports
  • We are not liable for circumstances arising from political instability, natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, acts of terrorism, or any other force majeure events (see Section 10)
  • In the event that we are found liable for a service failure directly attributable to our own negligence, our maximum liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for the specific service in question
  • We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of enjoyment, loss of income, or emotional distress
Our Promise

While we limit liability as required by industry standards, we are fully committed to going above and beyond to resolve any issues that arise during your travel. We will advocate fiercely on your behalf with all providers and do everything in our power to make your experience right.

7

Client Conduct & Responsibilities

As a client of Eri Travel Consult, you agree to the following responsibilities to ensure a safe, respectful, and successful travel experience for yourself and others:

  • Provide accurate, honest, and complete information at all times, including personal details, passport information, health requirements, and preferences
  • Arrive at airports, hotels, and venues at the required times as communicated in your travel itinerary
  • Comply with the laws, regulations, and customs of all countries visited, including but not limited to immigration, health, and safety regulations
  • Treat all airline staff, hotel personnel, tour guides, and other service providers with respect and dignity at all times
  • Notify us immediately of any changes to your personal details (including passport renewal) that may affect your travel documentation
  • Ensure all members of your travelling party, including minors, are covered by appropriate travel documentation and insurance
  • Not engage in any illegal, offensive, or disruptive behaviour that may endanger yourself, other travelers, or our service partners

Behaviour resulting in removal: Eri Travel Consult reserves the right to terminate services to any client whose conduct is deemed dangerous, abusive, illegal, or grossly disrespectful, without liability for any costs or losses incurred as a result. This includes threatening behaviour toward our staff or partners.

8

Travel Insurance

Eri Travel Consult strongly recommends that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance before departure. Travel insurance can protect you against significant financial losses arising from:

  • Trip cancellation, curtailment, or interruption due to illness, bereavement, or unforeseen circumstances
  • Medical emergencies, hospitalization, or evacuation abroad
  • Lost, stolen, or damaged luggage and personal belongings
  • Flight delays, missed connections, or travel disruptions
  • Personal liability arising from accidental damage or injury to third parties

While we can assist with arranging travel insurance as part of our concierge service, the purchase of insurance remains entirely the Client's responsibility and decision. Eri Travel Consult is not liable for any losses that could have been covered by travel insurance.

Note on Insurance

Some destinations and certain visa categories (particularly Schengen visas) may require proof of travel insurance as a mandatory condition of entry. We will advise you of any such requirements during the booking process.

9

Force Majeure

Eri Travel Consult shall not be held liable for any failure to perform, delay in performance, or disruption to services caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Acts of God, including earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, and other natural disasters
  • War, armed conflict, civil unrest, terrorism, or threat thereof
  • Government actions, travel bans, border closures, or changes in immigration policy
  • Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies declared by national or international health authorities
  • Industrial action, strikes, or labour disputes affecting airlines, airports, or other travel infrastructure
  • Technical failures in airline, airport, or booking systems beyond our control

In the event of a force majeure situation, we will make every reasonable effort to assist you in rescheduling or recovering costs from third-party providers. However, we cannot guarantee refunds or alternative arrangements in cases where our providers also invoke force majeure terms.

We strongly advise all clients to maintain comprehensive travel insurance that includes coverage for force majeure events and trip cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances.
